Burial Fund

The Franco-British border has killed over 420 people since 1999.

All of these people who have died, and their families, are victims of the migration policies that have been implemented for almost 30 years on the northern coast. The terrible living conditions at the border, the militarisation and distress that it generates, the lack of safe passage to the United Kingdom continue despite these deaths.

For years, the Death Group has been providing as much support as possible to the victims' families and to the communities of exiled people. It also seeks to act as a link with the administrative authorities in the face of their lack of mobilisation, to keep the memory alive and to denounce the inhumane treatment inflicted by the authorities, right up to the point of death.

This fund is being used to raise money to pay for the funeral in accordance with the wishes of the victims' families.

This group is made up solely of independent citizens, whether or not they are members of associations.

Support the Death group

This fund is completely independent and is exclusively intended to fulfil the wishes of the victims' families.

Le mémorial de Calais

The Calais memorial

Because every life counts, "Les Jours" has decided to tell the story of each person through an interactive memorial: their background, their face, their age, etc. right up to the tragic event of their disappearance.
